Registered Nurse (Per Diem) – SART Program
Assesses patient/family health problems and resources, takes a leadership role in the development, implementation and outcomes evaluation of a plan for care, particularly for victims of sexual assault. Provides technical nursing care and interventions to designated patient populations. Responsible for upholding the forensic nursing scope of practice. This position requires providing service to men and women over the age of 14 years, in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individual served.

SART COORDINATOR (Full Time)
Recognizes and assesses the patient’s medical and mental health problems and legal issues related to events that prompted their need for medical and forensic care. Is consistently aware of the patient’s family/significant other concerns. Takes a leadership role in the development, implementation and outcomes evaluation of a plan for nursing care provided by SART and the Emergency Department staff. Provides development, implementation and evaluation of the Sexual Assault Response Team (SART) Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners (SANE). You will provide service to all victims of violence from the neonate through geriatric patient population including both sexes in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individual served.

Job Requirements
Education, training, experience:
RN MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
• Current CA RN License
• Current BLS
• Three years of acute care nursing experience
• Prior experience caring for victims of sexual assault preferred
• Bilingual preferred

SART COORD MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
• Current CA RN License
• Current BLS and PALS
• Two years of recent experience as a Forensic nurse examiner with performance of at least 100 sexual assault evidenciary exams (may include children)
• Current Certification as a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner
• Bilingual preferred
